Course content:
The production of plastic and rubber parts as well as mold making are the focus of the dual bachelor's degree in plastics technology. It teaches both comprehensive mathematical and scientific basics, materials science and production technology as well as the basics of computer-aided design (CAE). The students acquire special knowledge of plastics and rubber, their treatment and processing as well as tools and production facilities for this. In the practical phases, the students work on specific development and rationalization tasks in the company of the practical partner. Training in business administration subjects, language training in English and teaching content in computer science and organizational and management techniques complement the course.
With their high level of practice-oriented methodological and social skills, graduates of the course are prepared for the current needs of the plastics and rubber processing industry and can be employed immediately as specialists and managers.
